Grizzled Player of the Week #2 Jon Rogger

by Anthony Del Tufo on July 20, 2020
The Grizzled player of the week is no surprise here. Coming in at 6'0" 194 lbs, from St. Louis, MO, Jon Rogger! He defines what the word Grizzled means. Back in the day battling it out in the gritty NAHL, Rogger put up 83 points in 85 games. After that, he commited Div 1 to Ferris State and played 95 total games with Ferris. Following that stint he then spent the next 12 years coaching in the USHL, NAHL, and then the only three letter league EHL. During the 2009-10 season being the coach for the Green Bay Gamblers (NBD) he coached Anders Lee who plays, in the only league better than the EHL, NHL. When asked about his achievements he had to say, "Excited and honored to get the Grizzled Player of the Week, It has been a long and tough road living out of a suitcase as both a player and a coach. Got to see a lot of new places and meet a lot of great people along the way. Wouldn't change a things. Stay Grizzled." Next week we unveil the 3rd ever GPOTW.
