by Luke Houk on June 17, 2020

The USPHL has been making big moves in the midst of COVID-19. Announcing the Fresno Monsters, San Diego Sabers, Anaheim Avalanche, Utah Outliers, Southern Oregon Spartans, Las Vegas Thunderbirds, Pueblo Bulls and Northern Colorado Eagles joining the league from the WSHL, and now a new expansion team out of Provo, UT, The Provo Riverblades.

The Riverblades will be joining four other Utah and Colorado based USPHL teams to form the new "Mountain" division. The ball seems to be rolling quickly with the new organization, already announcing new head coach, Michael Callan, former Chatham Cougars (NCAA D3) head coach.

The city of Provo has already hosted a public unveiling event and press conference for the new hockey organization boasting cyan and sea green jerseys. Riverblade players will be coming into an interesting 2020-2021 season ready to make a name for themselves and the city of Provo.
